My sister begged me to spend some quality time with her last night.  Before you go thinking I’m not a good big sister, I’ve had my nose stuck in books the last few months so I’ve been slacking off on my sisterly duties.  Pray for me.  Anyways, she asked me to watch a few minutes of the Golden Globes.  I reluctantly acquiesced.    So I braced myself and sat down and watched for about 20 minutes... 

So maybe I’m a little clairvoyant. (Not really ). But that ominous feeling I had was confirmed by actress Laura Dern who won a Golden Globe for the movie "Recount" (which is about the 2000 election). 

I simply rolled my eyes…

How fast can you say…A-C-O-R-N?

They need to win these awards, thank their families or whomever, and keep it moving.  I didn’t need to hear all of that.  Stick to the script, Laura.  That’s what your homeboy Obama did, and that’s why he won.
